*If you are interested in competing in this event, please contact England Athletics at the address below by midnight Wednesday 10th May
Maidenhead Half Marathon – Sunday 1st September
Yorkshire Marathon – Sunday 20th October
Each of the races will provide a special start for the England and Celtic teams immediately behind the elite runners. Masters runners who qualify for an elite start by right will of course be able to take up their elite start position on the day.
If you are interested in taking part please email Charlotte Fisher at firstname.lastname@example.org stating your name, UKA athlete registration number, date of birth and age category and stating the event you wish to take part in. Please also give some indication of form.
There is no selection process as such and expressions of interest will be accepted on a first come first served basis subject to you providing the above information and acknowledging you are fit to compete. There is no minimum standard, but interested runners may wish to have a look at the standards that have been set for the England team representatives to give some indication of the level of competition.
Medals will be awarded to the overall male and female winner of each age band in the England v Celtic match as well prizes for the top three male and female WAVA age graded performances on the day.
All entrants from both teams are required to pay their race entry directly to the respective race entry system, which you should do once your place on the team has been confirmed. All participants cover their own travel and accommodation costs.
We look forward to welcoming some of you to Birmingham, Maidenhead and York in 2019.
